A — APPROACH

How Cedar Ledger works

Cedar Ledger's three programmes share a common structure: each one begins with a written description of scope, delivered before the first session. That document tells you what Cedar Ledger will cover and — as importantly — what falls outside the programme and should be addressed with a qualified professional.

The programmes are designed to produce a tangible output: a filled index template, an orderly records file, or a documented architecture. Quality is measured not by satisfaction ratings but by whether someone unfamiliar with your records can navigate them when needed.

Scope document first

Every programme starts with a written scope boundary

Referral built in

A referral sheet by category is included in every programme

A usable output

Each programme produces something you can put in a folder

Document Index and Retention Session

PROGRAMME 1

Document Index and Retention Session

RM 495 per person

A ninety-minute session on building a household index of documents, with each entry noting what the document is, where the original is kept, whether a copy exists, and how long such papers are ordinarily retained according to published sources. Written for people who want one sheet of paper that tells anyone where everything is. Groups of fifteen or delivered privately.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

  • Index template with completion guidance
  • Retention chart with cited published sources
  • Session on storing originals away from the home
  • Guidance on giving a trusted person access
  • Referral sheet by category of qualified professional

P — PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

How all programmes are delivered

Privacy and data handling

Enquiry and session information is handled in accordance with Malaysian personal data protection requirements. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Scope stated before any session

A written scope document is provided and acknowledged before the first session of every programme. Questions outside scope are referred, not answered.

Published sources, not opinion

Retention periods and classification standards are taken from published guidance, cited in the materials. Participants can verify and update them independently.

Every enquiry answered personally

No automated first responses. A practitioner reads and answers each enquiry. If the question is outside scope, that is stated directly.

Annual review of all materials

Programme content, retention charts and referral sheets are reviewed against current published sources each year. Changes are noted with their effective date.

Delivered alongside qualified professionals

The family office consulting engagement is conducted alongside the client's solicitors, accountants or other qualified professionals — not instead of them.
